SOC16 will depend on a large team of Student Workers to help the conference run smoothly. You will have the opportunity to volunteer as a Student Worker at SOC16 in exchange for your student registration for the conference, which includes admission to all oral and poster sessions, exhibits, breaks, luncheons, the Opening Reception, and the Poster Session Happy Hour. You will be asked to present your Student ID when checking in at the registration booth.
As a Student Worker, you will assist with conference set up and break down, registration, and other general conference support tasks such as staffing the conference presentation room, and helping presenters load their talks.
Besides the financial benefit, you will have the chance to work alongside the conference organizers to see how such a large event works, converse with conference presenters, and will be provided a free t-shirt that identifies you as a Student Worker.
